Katie Bennett

Psychotherapy, LLC

If you’re a high achiever struggling with ADHD, anxiety or trauma, I want to help you. You deserve support (and joy!), and you don’t have to go through this alone. Constant negative thoughts and unhealthy relationship patterns can trick us into thinking that nothing has ever helped and nothing will. Together, we can pinpoint where you want to grow, and what’s been getting in your way. If you’re sick of feeling constantly exhausted, distracted, numb, empty, restless, or irritable, therapy can help.

My approach to therapy is a mixture of exploring thought patterns and exploring physical responses – I like to blend exploration of what you’re feeling with the science of why it might feel that way. My clients say I’m enthusiastic, warm, and encouraging. I tailor my approach based on what will work best for you in your unique path, but often integrate mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). I specialize in high achieving teens and adults.

I have been told that I have “golden retriever” energy – and often help therapy first timers feel more comfortable in the process. I believe therapy is powerful in that it creates a space where you can find a break from the chaos of daily life, improve your understanding of yourself and heal your past wounds. I believe people are naturally resilient and capable of change (including you!). I believe that you have it within you to find lasting relief and create the life you’ve been hoping for; you just need some support and guidance to help you get there. I would be glad to walk that journey with you.

Being here now shows your courage. It can be intimidating to start therapy – but it doesn’t have to be. Seeking change is a testament to growth. My goal is for you to feel safe in exploring new parts of yourself, deepen your understanding of your feelings, receive unconditional support, and feel empowered to take steps toward a future you love.

More about Katie:
I worked in a high stress corporate role for a decade before pivoting to therapy – I am familiar with what it feels like to take on anxiety, depression and burnout at the same time and I’m extremely excited about the opportunity to help others heal from similar challenges. Outside of therapy, my husband and I adore our 2 dogs (our vegetable vizslas, Pepper and Rutabaga). I enjoy running, yoga, piano, and love exploring new creative outlets.
